I don't disrespect others right to believe the way they want but I have a problem with not just Catholic but all religions. Other religions don't repect my right to believe the way I want. That is one reason why I have no use for religion. Will

Papal ceremony fairly ludicrous for Christians?
by Qcmbr infor anyone who is a catholic stop reading now - i'm about to mini vent.
i don't doubt that the recently departed pope had many redeeming qualities and this post has nowt to do with him as a person.
i cannot get away from the fact that the pomp and ceremony of the catholic church (including the regalia) is so far away from the humble woodcarvers son and his example.

Insider info given to me by a very loyal, long time brother
by seeitallclearlynow inas mentioned in the topic title, a very active, very positive, "faithful" brother talked to me out of the blue at work last week.
it was a highly unusual opportunity - i happened to be in a secluded area, captive to my task, and i saw him passing so said hello.. he's a wonderful person with a well-known, fantastic sense of humor, known all over the circuit and district.
former pioneer, elder, fill-in c.o.

My experiance is that there are 2 tiers of elders. Those that have the power and the ones that are on the sidelines watching. The ones with the power seem to have their own little clique. Getting right back to a clergy class.

One thing the Pope did disagree with Bush on was the war in Iraq. That was one thing I had to agree with the Pope on.

Defantely a bunch of BS for a group of ignorant people that believe in a bunch of hog wash. Makes me want to vomit to.
If the Pope be so high and mighty may I be struck dead this instant.

MJ defence seems to be discrediting every witness the prosecution is bring forward to testify. I think he may still get off but seems to me that the amount of witnesses that are coming forward against MJ proves that he is guilty of some indiscretions. I can't believe that everyone that is testifying against MJ is lying.

Something our Circuit Overseer said.
by PaNiCAtTaCk inhe said that if we take time to argue or disagree with someone at the door then our guardian angel is already waiting at the next door with out us.
basically what this does is train us to flee from anything that may conflict with what we are trying to teach or anything that we may believe.
to stay at the door and .

I always thought that arguing with someone for hours was a complete waste of time. Once you make your point and the conversation starts to go in circles, move on. Standing there and arguing theological points is a complete waste of time as both partied minds are made up and nothing will change it.

The Pope is NOT the voice of God on Earth
by Survive1999 ini have always been a little bit puzzled by jws loudly proclaiming that the pope is not the "voice of god on earth", and turning around and vernerating the watchtower as "the voice of god on earth.".
i have repeatedly told jws to apply the same standard you do against the pope to the watchtower and you will be more than a bit dissapointed.
the best answer i could ever get was, "well that's different".. can any exjws explain this?

So, I think he's guilty. However, as another poster said, he may not completely understand his guilt.
Even if he doesn't understand what he is doing this should not mitigate his guilt. I personally think he is knows more of what is going on than people think he does and the child like act is just that an act.

Again I repeat, guilty or innocent a 40+ year old man does not let 12 year old boys sleep in his bed. MJ was only opening himself up for every "get rich quick" persons to come along. Personally I believe in the old saying, "If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck"....
